How FabriStick differs from Vinyl
I have been known as 'the vinyl queen' for so long now that it feels like a betrayal to admit to liking FabriStick more - but it's true. Like choosing a favourite child! In truth, there is never a right or wrong, just the best one for the situation.
FABRISTICK is the new(ish) peel-on peel-off wall sticker, that can be moved around and is very easy for anyone to apply. We send it all over the world, even in large pieces. In fact, one large graphic is even on its way to the Oval Office in Washington. Imagine that! This versatile product can be cut into shapes and printed in full colour. Yet it has one limitation. It is very difficult to exactly colour match it, simply because the soft fabric absorbs light differently from a hard wall. We work with industrial interior designers and this is an ongoing frustration! Sometimes we can overcome it with a contrasting border around the graphic so that the colours don't sit exactly next to each other.
VINYL stickers, on the other hand, are not quite so easy to apply, as large pieces tend to stick back onto themselves for the inexperienced. And whilst they can be removed, they cannot be re-used. Vinyl stickers are 'one hit wonders'. But they look AWESOME on coloured walls.
Sometimes we end up using both products. Like in the attached image - a corporate stairwell. The large graphic looks like three boxes but is in fact a single piece of Fabristick. The blue dots and the white lettering is all in vinyl. So when this company needs to re-decorate the heavy use stairwell, they will only need to replace a small amount of the graphic as the larger FabriStick piece can be removed and put back after decoration.
